Membership Questions
Why does Hidden Palestine have a membership program?
Recurring support from members helps us hire and pay Palestinian journalists fair wages, and makes our jounalism more independent and sustainable. It allows us to dedicate time to deep investigations, follow-up stories, and long-term investigative journalism.
How do you communicate with members?
We provide members with updates by email, including new visuals, investigations, and behind-the-scenes insights. We also host online and occasional in-person briefings.
Can I become a member with a one-time contribution?
Membership requires recurring monthly or annual support. One-time contributions still support our work but do not enroll you as a member.
What are the benefits of membership?
Our commitment to HP Members is to do free, accessible, impactful, well–researched journalism for Palestinian liberation, and to pay our reporters a fair wage. We share regular email updates specifically with our Members on this work. You’ll also have access to online Member-only briefings, and in person events, when possible.

Supporting Palestinian journalists matters because they are the ones risking their lives to document the reality on the ground, often with little pay, no protection, and constant danger. Too often, international media filters events through narratives that sideline or distort Palestinian voices, while local journalists see their work dismissed when it challenges dominant perspectives. Backing Palestinian-led journalism helps ensure their stories are told accurately, preserves critical evidence, and strengthens independent investigative reporting rooted in lived experience rather than external framing.
How will you use funds from memberships and donations?
Contributions support hiring, field work, research, reporting, design, visualization, and global distribution.
Do you share financial information with supporters?
Yes — we share periodic transparency summaries detailing how funds are allocated, in addition to complying with all relevant reporting requirements.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major debit/credit cards and any additional payment methods available through our donation processor.
Is my data and contribution information secure?
We use secure, reputable processors and never sell personal data. Only authorized team members can access contribution records.
